JYJ’s solo concert in Peru breaks ticket sales records

JYJ, who will be making history once again by being the first Korean artists to hold solo concerts in South America, has broken ticket sales records with their upcoming concert in Lima to be held on 11th of March. Peruvian newspaper “El Comercio” reported that half of the concert tickets for JYJ’s concert were sold within 30 minutes of going on sale, and two ticket categories were sold out by the end of the first day. This is truly an amazing feat, as the paper continues to explain, since JYJ has never appeared on any radio or TV broadcasts in Peru, and their Korean names were admittedly difficult for the locals to pronounce.

The previous record for fastest ticket sales was held by the Jonas Brothers in 2009, whose show in Lima, Peru sold out within five days.
